“Did the job quickly”

Within a few hours I got the email saying my iphone was unlocked. Said plug in your phone and sync with iTunes. (Could have been clearer by saying plug phone into your computer and run itunes in it.) I had the new carrier's chip already in the phone. First the phone said no service; unplugged it, plugged it back in, phone said "activation required." Unplug and plug in again, and it activated. All the apps and contacts were still there. Note: this phone was acquired in 2012.
