“Booking issue”

I was booking for a large group of family members with a representative over the phone, due to the size of the party I had to do two separate bookings. First booking went off without a hitch, the second is an other story! There was an issue with the second party being able to be on the same flight as the first, then the representative indicated there would be availability but the flight charge would be $4.91 a person more than the first booking. I gave the go ahead for this booking as $4.91 per was not an issue. I also indicated my desire to have the pay delay option as I did on the first group booking. When I received my itinerary for the second booking, I noticed I was charged the full amount, no pay delay, upon further review I also noticed the total price was more than indicated by the rep. It turned out the higher fare was not $4.91 per person but rather $136.76 per person! I immediately called the Book-it service centre and explained my issue. I was told there was know way to revert the charges to the pay delay option and the conversation tapes would have to be reviewed before they would entertain any compensation. This is acceptable, and I wait to hear back from them, this may take ten days I was told.

On a positive note, both the booking agent and the service rep were extremely friendly and helpful, they seem to want to do there best to correct this issue.

I have used Book`it many times and have always had a positive experience, hopefully this vacation will be the same.
