“terrible experience with Book-It”

We booked a room last minute with Book-It to Daytona Beach. When we arrived at the hotel it was very late due to road closure. The hotel was very nice, the room was not located close to the beach, but on the road. We called Book-It at 11pm. The call took 1 hour and 15 minutes. They did arrange another room for us for the remainder of the trip. They charged a $25.00 dollar fee for the phone call, even though we had no choice but to call. Then after we were back home I received an email stating they had charged us for the different room which I expected, but they overcharged that. I sent an email, so I wouldn't be charged another $25.00, and it took 5 days for them to respond. They refunded the over charge, and offered a $25.00 credit on a future booking. I will not use the credit because I will not deal with a company that charges their customers for a phone call to resolve a problem. The hotel also told us that Book-It does not ever book their oceanfront rooms.
