We booked fairly late so were pleased this accommodation was available. Close to Chania so the transfer time was OK. The room was simple but all you need for a sun and beach holiday (we were 3 adults in the room which was a bit crowded but not the end of the world). Very helpful hotel/appartment owner's daughter who spoke good English and was able to provide all the we needed. Air conditioning is 5 euros per day extra but well worth the expenditure.
We had the use of the hotel's swimming pool , only a few sun loungers but not a problem as the beach was only a minute's walk from there. The beach is sandy and the loungers cost 2.5 euros each per day. Bit of a problem with the frequent enquiries from the Asian girls offering massages. One even woke me from a light doze and I'm sure it was was I'd already said no to several times. Some great tavernas around even though we were at the tail end of Aghia Marina. The only complaint I have is nothing that the hotel or Olympic could do anything about. From about 4pm every afternoon, the hotel next door started blaring out euro rubbish "music", thank goodness it stopped from approx. 8.30 to 9.30pm.
