“Lindos Gardens, Lindos, Rhodes ”

We've just returned from a week in the Lindos Gardens self catering apartments. The complex is very pretty and well maintained. The staff were very good and we had a very pleasant stay. Downside - compared with people we met staying at other accomodation, the aircon was very expensive as were ice creams etc so beware if you're travelling with children. The flights with Small Planet were a bit of a disaster. On checking in for the outbound flight we were told that due to a late change in the type of aircraft being used they were unable to honour our pre-booked (and pre paid) seat assignments. The return journey was spoilt by a delay of some seven and a half hours which meant we got home at 5.30am instead of about 10pm the previous day. Not good if like me you had to be in work by 8am.
We were informed of the delay early on the day of departure so at least we were able to stay at the complex and not have to hang around at the airport, but having chosen the holiday partly because of the sensible flight times it was not good to be flying out around midnight instead of 5.30pm. We were lucky insomuch as we were able to extend our checkout time from the apartment, albeit at a cost of 24 Euros, other guests were not as fortunate. In summary, we would return to the Lindos Gardens complex again but probably not with Olympic, unless they get together with a decent airline
