“Appalling customer services - no communication skills ”

Last year I booked flights and accommodation, received confirmation and paid in full then was told that neither the flights nor accommodation existed. Foolishly, I used Travel Republic again to book a hotel and payment was taken in full. 3 weeks later I was shocked to be told that the hotel was overbooked - this was 3 days before my holiday. After numerous phone calls at my expense (none of which were returned) I contacted the hotel direct and they told me that the agents were informed on June 4th that they were fully booked. My money was taken several days after that date. I was offered no satisfactory alternative accommodation and therefore used a different agent to rebook. I will never use Travel Republic or any agents connected to Hotel Beds again since this is the second time it has happened and will advise friends and colleagues to avoid using them also. I found the whole experience stressful and time consuming.
