“I first called to cancel my membership a year or so...”

written by on 04/07/2013

I first called to cancel my membership a year or so again after getting my breakdown cover through my bank, not a problem and a refund was given.

The problem then starts with the AA sending me a letter this year saying your membership is up for renewal and the money (£60odd) will be coming off in the next 3 DAYS! I called to complain and cancel and was advised that my details were updated and my membership was cancelled.

I have now just received a phone call wanting to discuss my renewal, even though I have cancelled twice now. When advised that a complaint would be processed, I am asked for all my personal details even though the AA are the ones who phoned me.

Also during my time with them a roadside call out mechanic mis-dagnosed my car as having a faulty alternator when in actual fact all that was required was a new battery. Not only are call centre staff clueless, but the men in the yellow vans also.

Avoid Avoid Avoid at all costs
