Previously I have only ever used either Chain Reaction Cycles, Merlin Cycles or ebay for most of my MTB parts, but on this occasion I was after one item in particular:
A "Shimano XTR M970 9-speed Cassette 12-34t" to which J E James had in stock!
Anyway I emailed to double check it was the right item I required & to see how many they had left in stock plus whether or not it was an original factory boxed item or an OEM item, well within a few hours I had my answer. So without further hesitation I purchased said item as it was the last one in stock along with a Shimano CN-7701 XTR chain & they were both quickly despatched free of charge the very next day. I was then kept up to date via email & txt messages informing me of it's imminent arrival, which was 24 hours later!!
Unfortunately, when they arrived the cassette was the wrong one, anyway after one quick phone call to J E James customer services & speaking to a friendly guy on the other end of the phone who couldn't apologise enough, he then proceeded to chase up my query & rung me back within 30 mins, he had tracked down the original cassette I had originally ordered, so all I had to do now was send back the wrong cassette! Which was done via an email from them with all the details I needed including a return of postage label, all hassle free!
Anyway within a few days of returning the wrong cassette, I eventually had what I originally ordered & all was well again!
So in summary, I did have a problem, but all was sorted very efficiently & with minimal effort for myself as J E They got it all sorted, so with all that & everything else they did for me I now make J E James my first port of call for parts etc. I may need in the future!!
Many thanks to J E James for making the whole experience so hassle free & if I could give them a percentage rating out of 100 I'd give them 150%
One thing I neglected to mention is, their pricing is very competitive & very good value for money, plus their customer care in my opinion is second to none!
All the best to all the team
Cheers
