“Santander Appalling Service”

I am about to leave Santander. Their business banking is appalling. Avoid them like the plague. Things look good(ish) on the surface, but nothing works well because they don't care about you, attention to detail or business logic.

You can't get a calendar month statement. They start a few days into the month and bleed into the next month. Their online search facility was designed by someone who doesn't believe people really want to search. Any "saver" accounts where you park unutilised cash only get annual statements - never mind your need to produce monthly accounts. Their (woeful) phone banking service demands pin numbers that they are months from actually issuing.. it goes on and on - nothing actually works the way you need it to - and this is not to mention being locked out of the online service for weeks because of IT issues - something they appeared to do their best to hide. If you complain, you get smarmy non-apologies "I'm sorry if our service did not meet your expectations.." (translation: you are an unreasonable irritation and we NEVER make mistakes). Just awful, awful, awful
