Good Points
Loved the idea of being in port every day. My teenagers loved it. I loved the informal atmosphere...dress...reservations for dinner. The ship was decorated very nicely....very colorful.
Bad Points
Food mediocre compared to other cruise lines. Was treated rudely by a desk clerk one morning when I didn't receive my wake up call as prearranged...she told me that I did...????..and I had not been rude to her at all...
Too many pay to eat restaurants...that is outrageous...I don't mind a couple of them...but there were at least 5.
Not really their fault but our flight back to Vancouver left at 10:30 at nite so we were left to our own devices for the whole day, we ended up renting a van. State rooms were very small, smaller than we have seen on other cruise lines.
General Comments
We cruised on Pride of America from July 19th to July 24th.
My 82 year old father, my husband, myself, 17 year old daughter and 14 year old son.
About the 20th cruise for my father, 4th cruise for the 4 of us, first time for us with NCL, although we had a great time, I wouldn't recommend NCL as a cruise line for most people. As I mentioned the food wasn't great and state rooms small. But my kids had a wonderful time and happy teenagers make for a happy vacation. They are still in contact with their new friends and Hawaii was lovely.
