Good Points
Clean shop C Clean animal enclosures. Healthy looking animals. Plenty of food and water. Well maintained stock. No dead fish of animals. Staff were helpful friendly and knowledgeable.

Bad Points
Fish tanks were slightly green but not bad.

General Comments
Pets at Home: I entered the Hamilton store to buy a small pet for my niece. I asked the first member of staff I saw and she directed me to to the hamster cages. She asked what I had in mind and I told her that I was thinking about a hamster. The girl recommended a pair of gerbils instead. When I asked why she told me that they were less likely to bite and that they didn't sleep all day and they do not stay awake at night like hamsters, and that they were more friendly. I asked about cages and she showed me a fish tank and lid that would fit nicely. She informed me of the starter kits but thought they might be a bit small for the both of them. I purchased the tank and the various other attachments and chose two lovely silver gerbils that the girl told me looked like girls but there was no guarantee. I left the shop happy and would recommend the shop to others.
