“Bad attitude - No feedback”

I applied for a contract role posted by [name removed] of Argyll Scott Technology on Jobserve on May 9. I tried to obtain confirmation that my CV has been received but was never able to talk to him. When I was talking to others at the company who picked up the phone they gave me an attitude and made it clear in no uncertain terms that it was a nuisance that I wanted to know if my CV has been received.

They said it was too much trouble to check and to tell me. That I should just wait and if I didn't hear anything then I obviously hadn't been considered. However I do not think it is unreasonable to expect that an agent confirms receipt of one's CV within a reasonable time, no matter what the circumstances. Today it is May 17 and I still don't have any reply, no confirmation of receipt of my CV.

I will not reply to any job ads posted by this agency and I cannot recommend this compay to anyone else.
