“Our rental that we had for less than 24 hours broke...”

Our rental that we had for less than 24 hours broke down in the middle of nowhere. We call Assistance and they tell us to contact the location we rented our vehicle, only to find out they can't do anything. We call assistance again, and they send a tow truck. Tow truck picks up the car, and we're now stranded. We call assistance again, and they tell us a taxi is on it's way, and will take us to the nearest Avis car rental. We have 45 minutes and nobody shows up. We call assistance again, and they tell us everything is taken care of, and hangs up. We call assistance again, and now the're telling us all the Avis car rentals are closed, and there's nothing they can do...we looked on our phone, and we called assistance a total of 17 times. We've NEVER experienced such poor customer service. We will not be renting with Avis ever again. Also, we're still stranded at a strangers place as we speak.
