“Far East Cruise”

Written on: 16/04/2013 by blackspider (1 review written)

Had never booked through Adore Cruises before, and spoke to them re 3 night Hong Kong stay, 8 nightd Queen Victoria cruise, and 3 night Singapore stay.
Should have had a list of questions prepared as after giving my card details found hotels were 3 star and flights were indirect with Turkish Airlines. Although only on phone for minutes informed to cancel would cost 200 pounds.
Anyway stuck with it and glad we did. Upgraded hotels to 4* for minimum cost, and he also changed flights to direct British Airways for free.
I must say that the HK hotel was fabulous, well located on HK Island, with views of city and Happy Valley racecourse. Their restaurant was also really good chinese food.
Alot of Singapore has new high rise hotels around the expensive marina area. Ours was in a great location in the heart of Chinatown; with Buddist and Hindu Temples, and a Mosque a couple of minutes walk away. Ate cheaply in Chinatown mostly. Hotel included adequate breakfast, and one lunch we had was superb. Hotel had lots of character, and was originally a row of Chinese shops. Had been tastefully renovated in colonial style. Our room was large with a large lounge with a spiral staircase leading up to the Bed/Bath room.
Didn't know Victoria cabin number till we boarded. He had said, although a balcony it could have a restricted view metal screen on a low deck. Anyway turned out cabin did not have a restricted view and was on deck seven.
Without doubt I will book with Adore Cruises again!
