General Comments
I was so exited on the day I bought this phone. The Motorola V600 is a beautiful phone, and it appears to be well designed. After a month I found that is not the case.
First of all, they put about 30 seconds of thought into the "profile" button on the side of the phone. Say for example, you enter a movie theatre, and the movie has started and you realize that you've left your ringer on. In order to change the profile, you press the button and no matter what, you have to make a loud obnoxious beep, maybe even more than once. Also, in order to get around that, maybe you can turn your phone off? Nope. It has an obnoxious little chord it plays when you turn it off. The only option is to remove the battery, or rudely annoy everyone around you.
This phone is SLOW. The phone cannot keep up with me when I'm typing in a text message. Also, the text prediction is cumbersome and isn't worth the trouble most of the time. I've accidentally turned my phone OFF when I'm intending to press the delete key.
The menus are counterintuitive. Doing simple functions seem to take longer than they should. I know that it can all be customized, but after messing with it for awhile, it's not worth it.
I've yet to find a Bluetooth headset that works very well. Although its hard to tell weather its bad Bluetooth reception, or my already bad phone reception.
I've recently put this phone in a drawer and got my Nokia 6100 back out and started using that. I get less dropped calls, better reception, and many less headaches. Also, my girlfriend is much happier because I'm easier to hear.
Also, it's proof that I'm unsatisfied with this phone based on the fact I found a website and typed this review! Stay away from this phone. It's junk. I'm not forever turned off of Motorola. I hate that I wasted my money.
One more thing, I know that this wasn't "phone specific" because T-Mobile has sent me THREE replacement V600 phones. And I've hated them all!
