“Worst internet buying experience of my life!”

What a joke this company is. I was told my new fridge would be delivered between 0845 and 1245 today. I waited until 1300 and still nothing, so I called the carrier myself, only to be told the order had been cancelled. When I asked who by they had no idea. I then called woolworths themselves to see what was going on. I was fobbed off and assured that delivery was today but they would chase it up with thecarrier and call me back. An hour later and no phone call. So I called woolworths again, only to be fobbed off again and reassured that delivery would definitely be today before 1900 (1430 by this point).
Again I waited patiently but by 1700 I couldnt take any more waiting and called woolworths again. By this point I had really lost my patience and asked if I could be refundex and have my account closed. The extremely unhelpful chap on the end of the line told me that this was not possible and that if I wanted a refund I would have to cancel the order and wait for the fridge to be returned to the woolworths depot. Absolutely ridiculous. Of course cancel the order but to have to wait until its returned to woolworths? Crazy! I told the guy I had no real choice but to continue with the delivery as planned. However, when I asked him when the fridge would actually be delivered, he couldn't tell me and said that I would have to arrange this with the carrier myself and that they would call me sometime in the coming days.
So as it stands I M 150 quid out of pocket andhave absolutely zero goods to show for it. I have contacted citizens advice regarding the matter and have complained to trading standards. Shame on you woolworths for giving me the worst consumer experience of my life!
