Overall the hotel is a nice place to stay. The staff are excellent and really helpful, nothing is too much trouble. There is an great choice of food and I would recommend dining in the restaurant. The pool and spa are also well presented and reasonably clean. I stayed in room 17 and it could have done with a bit of a refurbishment and the shower wasn't great. Unfortunately, once I noticed this, I started to look around a bit more and I noticed the same in the public areas, things just looking a bit tired and in need freshening up. With just a bit of focus and effort the hotel could be a special place to stay.
