“Average company really.”

I have been using Very for about a year. Yes their interest rate is high, but this is made clear when you take out an account so you cant really complain about that. I only use it for buy now pay later so never pay interest on anything I buy from them anyway, so there are ways around the high interest rates. Their customer service is pretty appalling. I had to return an item that didn't work, but had to contact the manufacturer and get their approval for very to arrange to collect the item, which seemed a bit of a roundabout way to sort out a returns on a faulty microwave, and just runs up the customers phone bill having to make numerous pointless phone calls. I have had a few issues with delivery, one item ordered for next day collect plus delivery didn't arrive for a month as it got lost, and Very were very reluctant to actually chase this up (though I had to pay for the item straight away, before it arrived or be charged a £12 late payment fee!) and another item on next day only finally arrived that day as I kicked up a stink. But these problems are caused by their couriers, though Very should seriously think about using a more reputable delivery company. Their delivery isn't free after all. Statements arriving are a bit hit and miss, many haven't arrived until after the payment date has been and gone, so best make sure you keep track of when you have paid so you don't miss a payment deadline! Thankfully their online accounts is ok so you can keep track as long as you have internet access.
I dont think they are the most responsible lender though. I stared with a credit limit of £400, which was fine, but within a few months that had increased to £2200 which is ridiculous as I could never afford to pay that sort of debt. They see to be happy to increase as long as you keep paying them, with little thoughts as to if you could afford to pay higher bills. So if you have a shopaholic nature and tend to overspend, be warned, you need restraint!
Overall, they are pretty average.
