If you can avoid using BT or any part of the BT group of companies (e.g. BT openreach), I highly recommend you do so. I have been using BT for many years now and had no issues until about 3 years ago. Since then I have had to phone up Dehli and speak to their "customer services" on a far too regular basis. They make you pay for an "up to 8mbps service" and give you a 0.3-1.3 speed. My phone and broadband went entirely down 8 weeks ago, it took them an entirely inexcusable 7 weeks to fix a simple fault. Despite costing me a great deal of time and money, all they offered was an insulting £30 in compensation.
If you give BT your business, they will treat you with contempt!
