“Forgan Golf Boots”

Written on: 26/02/2013 by IvanSanders (6 reviews written)

I purchased these Forgan Generation 1 Golf Boots (three velcro strap variety) new. They have synthetic uppers, supplemented by an internal waterproof membrane and are guaranteed to be completely waterproof. They are manufactured on the large size and one needs to buy smaller than one's normal size. They appeared in many outlets (both generations) - always heavily discounted - and appeared to be a bargain. The second time I played nine holes in them two large fully penetrating cracks appeared in the outer membrane of one boot. The boots are now slightly under one month old. Forgan rejected my claim on the basis I had not bought direct off them! My eBay seller also rejected my claim but I am confident of securing a Paypal refund, less return postage. Retailers are of course reluctant to meet their legal obligations in cases where they are not indemnified by manufacturers who fail to comply with Sale of Goods legislation. But many eBay sellers are amateur businessmen and fly by nights irregardless. I should not have had to suffer so much aggravation and correspondence, and financial loss. A terrible product and terrible buying experience.
