This company should be investigated - there are numerous bad reviews, do read them. As it operates as a franchise, there would appear to be a complete absence of any accountability, and the head ofice would seem to share this diminished sense of responsibility towards its customers..

It operates as follows, after you are given the initial quote - which appears to be completely inclusive of insurance, a series of documents are emailed requiring signature, in order to confirm the booking - these give Motorholme carte blanche to charge you (without consultation) their "extras". On our hire this amounted to an extra £100. Most of the charges were random figures and didn't even add up to the final total. However, once you've signed, there is no way you can back out of the agreement without incurring the full hire cost. We subsequently discovered that had we hired direct from the owner the cost would have been half. But this is not the point - Motorholme are basically holding the customer to ransom, and are absolutely impossible to negotiate with. We were treated with complete contempt by someone called [name removed], who appears to have skipped business/moral/charm school and is really a most unpleasant person.
Avoid this company.
