“Four Seasons, 87 California Avenue, Scratby”

Overall we were pleased with the house and its amenities. We booked the house as we were allowed to take our two small dogs. Beautiful situation/location close to beach - ideal for dog walking. The living room was very well furnished with a good sized dinner table, comfortable sofas and a large TV which, having stayed in November, was appreciated.

The kitchen was also very well equipped, although we did buy some wine glasses as there was only one glass in the cupboard. We left these in the house as they were very cheap but did the job!

One or two things that would greatly enhance one's stay would be bedside lights (only one of the four bedrooms had a light by the bed), better quality bedding/pillows, curtains in bedrooms to be adjusted to enhance their look and somewhere in the porch for hanging coats. Also to ensure the outside lights come on (it was very dark when returning late at night and although there were outside lights they did not work!).

The bathrooms could do with towel rails.

Also the WiFi was not working.

The rear garden could do with a little light maintenance. The front garden was ideal with plenty of parking.

The above negatives could easily, and fairly cheaply, be sorted out and it would just add a few more home from home comforts.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the owner was very helpful, particularly when all our electric failed!

I am sure that we would stay again at a future date which in itself says a lot.
