“Canceling monthly sim”

First i sent online email no one replied then I rang up twice first time as soon as I told them I wanted to cancel they put phone down I then rang again kept trying to explain I am losing my job and am having to go though my finances and cancel some directs debits to get told pass it on to some one else My sim they can pay it then I have now sent a letter of complaint . I won't be needing my mobile now due to I have house phone and like any one knows the stress of losing a job you have to look at your finances . what can I do now I will cancel direct debit but say they keep me connected.
