I used this beauty therapist for a trial for wedding make up and found her to be quite helpful and courteous. However, on the day of the trial she didn't listen to what I was trying to achieve with the natural look I wanted and the eye colours I was looking for, so beiges, taupes and browns and she proceeded to use a pink in the eyeshadow mixed with the natural, gave my eyes a purple hue and then as if this wasn't enough, she covered my face in a dark shade of foundation and blusher and then added a boring shade of pink to my lips, it did enhance my tanned face but was too much and when I mentioned at the end it was nice but top heavy, and that my eyes and lips wasn't what I was expecting, I wasn't asked if I wanted her to change anything and she kept telling me how lovely I looked and explained that she always applies 20-30% more for weddings so it lasts and is good for the photography which I took on board, she kept telling me I looked lovely and would I mind being photographed for her website, that I felt obliged into submission. A few days later when I advised if we could take the look down so it wasn't so heavy and use the original eye colours and lipstick I wanted I got a rather terse email in reply berating me for not having told her I didn't like it and that I was wasting her time with all the emails and if I wanted another trial it would cost me.
I believe this woman, who works from home, is incapable of listening to her clients and just does her own thing. My tip is get advice from the make up counters in the dept stores and do it yourself, which is what I did in the end and I did a much better job.
