“Sky service is rubbish”

Entering into a contract with Sky was made very easy. They made it clear that if I wanted their broadband, I had to take up the package that included services I didnt require such as TV. I agreed as I was assured of the broadband speeds I would receive as they tested the present infrastructure in my street and my house and fibre optic broadband was present so according to them, I was going to receive the top speeds of Sky broadband!

It soon become apparent that the speed was inadequate and Sky responded by increasing the download allowance to unlimited and raised the price by £12 to £43 per calendar month for the privilige.

To my dissapointment, the speed remained the same, if slightly slower when watching videos. Watching videos leaves you frustrated because you actually watch the buffering ring going round more than you view the footage you intended to see. This is not limited to evenings and/or weeekends when Sky claim the amount of traffic on the network prevents me from using my very expensive broadband.

In summary, my taking broadband from Sky resulted in paying for one of the slowest broadband speeds in Christendom for the price of a premium service from Zen internet. When I tried to buy myself out of the contract, they politely explained that this is not possible.

I made a poor decision when I chose Sky. Do not make the same mistake.
