General Comments
I had to start this book three times. At the beginning of the story, the heroine's newborn is stolen from her. Years pass. The story gets darker and darker. I gave up on any hope of happiness and just slogged through looking for a resolution of some kind.
Linda Howard delivers, but anyone who has Open Season on her short list of all-time favorites won't find the same thing here.
