“Back after a long gap.”

Written on: 21/11/2012

I have just come back to airguns after a lay off of over thirty years. Back in 1980 I had a HW80 which was given a cropped barrel, silencer and a venom tune, all by the inventor of venom at Lye gunshop, Trapshot. I have recently purchased a second hand HW77 in .22 from my local gunshop, and to say I'm pleased is an understatement!, I'm thrilled. The rifle is superb, heavy, yes, but so well made it's a treat to hold. It's a pleasure to shoot because of it's accuracy and within a short time I am able to put five shots into 10mm diameter disc, at 25 mts. In fact, I know that the HW77 is capable of better if only I had the skill. The weight I can live with, but I would realy like to fit both a bi-pod and a silencer before using it as a hunting weapon. All-in-all I give the HW77 a huge thumbs-up and can recomend it to anyone. Superb.
