“broken rollers”

Two weeks after purchasing the cycleops rollers one of the bearings in the rear roller sounded as if it was collapsing. The rollers had been used every morning for interval work at varying degrees of intensity using a Giant FCR2 shod with slick 700 X 28. So, disappointed to find the bearings falling immediately. The rollers do what they are supposed to do and more as far as the training goes so plenty more resistance left in them. Spoke to the Cardiff branch who asked to have the rollers returned which was out of my way but did. Turning up at the shop the staff said that there should not be a problem replacing the broken roller but that I would have to leave them to check with the distributors. I pointed out that I had come some way and they phoned the distributor to check, which resulted in them removing a roller from an other set of rollers and replacing that for the collapsed one on my set.

I would like to point out that I had succeeded in filling my receipt in the bin and all of the above was carried out with a check on the computer to find the transaction and me turning up with photo ID.

Apart for my worry about the durability of the rollers i think that what I got was good service and maybe a bit more than the warranty required.
