“You get what you pay for”

I have flown five return journeys with airline this year and three were without incident. However there were problems with the other two. On a flight to Palma in May we had to divert to Stansted due to a technical problem.This was a blessing in disguise as there were some 20 drunk young men whose language was appalling in addition to their unruly behaviour.Despite complaints from passengers the staff did little to help and continued to provide more drink.A passenger shouted at them and they calmed down after changing aircraft as they eventually thought they were to be put off the flight.I returned to Edinburgh from Tenerife on 9 November 2012 and we had to land at Prestwick to refuel.We must have been really short bearing in mind that it takes only about 10 minutes from one airport to the other.The pilot said strong headwinds were the problem, however we were on time and if that was the reason the fuel requirements were badly miscalculated!!!The cabin crew making announcements are regularly unintelligible and one wonders what would happen in an emergency.Finally the food/drinks trolleys are substantially under stocked.
