I had a test for contact lenses at Brookfield Farm 3 weeks ago and still haven't received my lenses (ordered on the day of the test).
When no-one had contacted me after two weeks I phone the branch to find out what was happening. I was told they ordered the wrong lenses and would have to re-order new ones. However, no-one seemed to have noticed this until I phoned the optician myself.
Now I've j
ust been told (no-one mentioned this before) that I have to have an Aftercare appointment before I can pick them up (I've been wearing lenses 15 years and have only change the brand - it's not like I've gone from daily disposables to hard lenses !).
And now I can't pick them up for another 2 weeks (18th) - because of work I can't get to Tesco before they close....and all the late appointments are already booked.
So that's 5 weeks before I can get my lenses.... I wanted them specifically for my holiday, and thought I had ordered them with plenty of time to spare. However, I can't get them now before I go. What a waste of my time and money, and more importantly it's messing with my holiday as I need them for diving.
Would I consider Tesco optician's again ? No, probably not. I think I'll just stick with a specialist in the high street.
