I was booked to fly back from Dublin to Bristol on Aer Lingus. We got on the bus to go to the plane (after passing security etc.) only to be told that the flight was cancelled because of bad weather.
We rang Bristol and were told that the weather was just a bit drizzly but the visibility was fine. Aer Lingus had just cancelled the flight for operational; reasons but said it was the weather because they did not want to pay out the EU compensation.
We were told we could try for a flight to Cardiff but would need to go back to the booking hall - about a Kilometer away. We eventually got on a Ryanair flight at an extortionate cost and Aer Lingus are still refusing to pay compensation.
