“Good price but can't deliver”

Excellent prices from Tyre Giant, so booked online and got confirmation back of order and time of fitting by email. Then received a telephone call the night before the day of fitting to say that they could not supply the tyres and had cancelled my order. When asked when they would be able to supply the tyres they said they had no idea. However, went directly to the fitter who had been nominated to do the work and he said the tyres were available and even agreed to do it at the same price as the original order.

Moral: check with local suppliers first as they can often match prices, and don't rely on internet bookings. Anyone can offer very cheap tyres on the internet if they don't have them or have no intention of supplying at that price. Better to go to a dealer you know you can trust.
