“He is family, not just the family dog”

Charlie has been with our family for 9 years. He has been the most obedient, fast learning best friend we could of asked for. I got him when I was in middle school, and For 5 years he would wait out side at 3:30 waiting for my bus till I got home. Charlie was so easy to train, my parents made me train him and I was only 12, and has never had an accident since. Charlie got to watch me at all my sporting events and went with me to college. Now being 21, an adult, I love him just the same, if not more, and is just as good and adorable when we got him as a puppy. Charlie will bark as friends approach the door, or ring my door bell, but I actually enjoy the notification. He will not bark if I take him and we see another dog, or any other time. Charlie does beg...not much and not noisy, but will sit and watch me eat...it can be annoying lol. As other reviews have said, Charlie does have a short attention span, unless its a bunny, or food. He sees a bunny bird or squirrel he has it in his head and gets obsessed, which is why I recommend something like what I did, and got an electric fence. He is well trained with that as well, and it took a day for him to figure it out. Border terriers shed...alot. i vacuum daily, and avoid the color black lol. Charlie loves to lay in the sun, and go on walks, and will still play just as playful as when he was a puppy. Border terriers are tough, and will not normally show weakness, so vets are never a prob. If you want a loyal long term friend, border terriers are they way to go. Honestly, I have such an amazing dog.
