on first start up(out of the box) of the freezer the other reviews of this item are correct the noise was that loud that i had to close the kitchen door.but after an hour or so as it got down to temperature it is as quiet as any other fridge or freezer i have had in the past and quieter than the other fridge/freezer ( Bosch Classixx KGV36V10GB) in the kitchen.very happy i got this freeze.... capacity/price and brand
