“Bad customer service by design at oakfurnitureland.co.uk”

I have spent a while trying to get this company to resolve issue of furniture delivered in a terrible state. I have now realised that their very bad customer service is not an accident its the company policy.

What they have told me is 95% of their customers are happy with what is delivered. That is probably correct since they do get a lot of good reviews.

But what I read between the lines is that for the 5% who are not satisified the company has calculated that they can ignore them. They have decided that this will work for the short to medium term. But that's all they are interested in. In a couple of years the directors will clear off with their fortunes and leave customers and staff in the lurch.

Its the only explanation I can think off for such bad service.
No one could be that bad by accident.

Only buy from this company if you feel lucky.
I was lucky with one order, all was ok and quality was good.
But on a second order I was unlucky and became part of the ignored 5%.

Extra tips:

If you decide to risk it always pay be credit card so you get some protection.

If you do have a problem do not let them tell you that because you agreed to their terms and conditions the 'sale of goods act' does not apply. This is not true. As a consumer the 'Sale of Goods Act' trumps all their terms and conditions.
