“Online check in a RIP OFF.”

I wasnt interested in 'purchasing' a seat so I left it until
28 hours before my flight heathrow to dublin because when I did
that on previous occasions there was no charge. The website
informed me that "its too close to departure time" and did not
allow online check in. So I now have to travel to gatwick earlier than
planned. This is the kind of thing the dreadful Ryanair specialises
in and are pilloried in the media. About time the media put Aer Lingus
in the same catagory. Very poor service indeed, so regretable this used
to be such a nice airline to fly with, no longer the case. Ryanair and
Aer Lingus are now identical in their treatmenet of passengers. Lack
of respect and rip off at any opportunity is the motto it seems. Will
not fly with them again.
