“A good experience for first time "bespoke" suit”

I decided to bite the bullet and get a custome made suit.

After a reasonable amount of research I went with BMV Bespoke who were visiting Australia and found the experience a positive one. I will be buying another suit from them next time they visit. Firstly don't kid yourself these are made to measure suits not the true bespoke but definitely a big step up from 'off the peg' and not the big bucks you will pay for true bespoke.

Just a bit of background I knew excatly what I wanted before turning up. Wasn't doing the deal they were offering just wanted a good mid range suit (two trousers) and a couple of shirts. It is a strange experience as they are based in a hotel room which doubles as their fitting room/office.

Really worth knowing excatly what you want, as there are a few choices to make and there is a fair amount of selling pressure (which in my view detracted from the experience somewhat) which could lead you to spending much more than planned.

My purchase turned up in about 5 weeks and it was excatly what I had expected, fitting well and even meeting the high standards of my girlfriend which is high praise indeed. Will buy my next suit from them and do recommend it to others.

Hope it helps any other guys looking at stepping up to a 'bespoke' suit.
