General Comments
I have had 3 machines in my time, an early not very robust black and decker, a mid range garden shredder by alko and a mountfield 2200 watt. The mountfield is by far the more superior machine. Always had problems with wet, small material with every machine. The mountfield is easy to set up. Blades are easily adjustable.Reverse gearing to allow easy clearance where the other machines you need to strip down to remove blockage. The mountfield works by crushing the material not by spinning blades. At our French house we put 15ft lengths of branches (green) into the mountfield and it just kept going all day.
