Extremely poor service and no customer handling skills.Phoned Stoke-on-Trent branch to enquire about availability of a climbing helmet. Assured by shop assistant that there were two in stock. Travelled to store same day, as well as checking myself of stock level before leaving home for a 40 mile round trip to store.
On arrival only one helmet that i wanted in stock and that was a soiled display model that had obviously been tried on and handled by others.

Asked shop assistant to check stock and ask manager for any discount on soiled display helmet. Assistant came back and tells me and i quote his very words 'No helmets in stock and the he store manager says no to any discount on the display helmet'.

Brilliant customer handling skills and what a good store manager, he must obviously be their top salesman not having the time to speak to me personaly, NOT!. How many more people will travel to this second rate store under false petence. My discount card will be sent back along with my letter of complaint to head office and i for one will never shop at this store again. I will now willingly spend a little more money to get the product i want and a level of service that i expect.
