“Williams UK Trip”

Written on: 12/07/2012

when we arrived at Terminal 3 the directions to the Central Bus Station were great, but the signage to the station was poor, especially just when you think you are there you have to enter a lift with every man and his dog trying to get in aswell. Chosing the #4 bus to J4M4 was easy and the trip to the Holiday Inn was quick as it was the first bus stop.
Green Motion is a little office opposite the entrance to the Holiday Inn and the welcome we had was below average. Not sure if it was because England were playing in the Euro 2012 and concentration was elsewhere but would have expected a more traditional British welcome. The actual place was untidy and there was junk everywhere, was afraid to sit down.
The service we recieved at the car rental was average as we had to wait for the car to be brought from where it was parked. It would have been better to have had the car waiting outside for collection, afer a 24hour flight from Australia the last thing was to sit and wait for it to be brought around.
The Car itself was fantastic it was a Hyundai i30, we had originally booked for a baby seat but this was not included on the car hire payment as we had thought, meaning additional costs had to be added to the amount we had originally been quoted. Then there was the 300pound holding fee which was taken off our card reducing the amount we had set aside for our spending money. This was not returned to the card until 4 days after we dropped the car off. Which meant our duty free spending was limited.
Dropping the car off was very stressful, when travelling back from the West to get off at junction 4 we can see the Holiday Inn on the right but to get to there you have to stick to the very left lane on Junction 4 exit and do a great big loop, partly our fault for not having a Sat Nav, and at one stage we was heading north on the M25 towards Birmingham. The lady we spoke to on the phone was of Scottish desent and without her directions we would still be in the UK now. A Big Thank You to her.Checking The car in was easy and straight forward.
All in all the car hire and actual car was exactly what we had paid for.
Would definately book with them again.
