“I'm from Romania and I've been ordering books through...”

I'm from Romania and I've been ordering books through Book Depository for little over a year. My experience so far has been great - you can pretty much find ALL of the books and they are always cheaper than in bookstores over here. Also, so far, my order has arrived on time - usually after 8 or 9 days and, if you have a Pay Pal account, it is very easy to use.

The reason why I keep saying "so far" is that I had a little mishap happen a few weeks ago when my order did not arrive. I used the Contact us page on the site to ask whether everything was all right and I should just wait (it had been 3 weeks since the order was dispatched). They replied immediately and very kindly suggested a few steps I should take (checking at my local post office, verifying the address etc.).

When it was clear that the order was overdue and had very little chances of arriving they offered me a replacement (or my money back). I accepted the replacement, which has now arrived. I am really happy to be holding the book right now and feel grateful for how the problem was handled.

The customer service is great. In the exchange of e-mails I never had to wait more than a day to receive a reply - even on a Friday!

I did have my doubts when it seemed like I wasn't going to receive the order. This is, in my opinion, one of the best sites for ordering books if you live outside of the UK/USA (even if you can find really cheap books on Amazon, I've found that with the delivery costs and the extra time it takes to arrive I'd rather not use it). And, although I do not blame the people in charge of the site that my order did not arrive, it was unsettling knowing that it could happen again. But now, having worked all things out, I'm looking forward to continuing shopping on bookdepository.co.uk

I'd also like to quickly mention that I love the Bargain Bucket on the site - I got many books through it and there really isn't anything better than cheap books :) I would love it if, in the future, the site included second hand books.
