“Not what they seem and promise - misleading”

I've used Rebtel for a long time, its never really bothered me that I have to redial pretty much everytime I call my family in Bahrain from London, its convenient and works from my mobile, however ffor the last 6 odd months the service has really deteriorated, I then noticed that they charge for every single call regardless of whether they connect or not. so each month I am charged £0.04p at least 30-50 times a month which soon adds up.

Their customer service is completely useless, I reckon it is outsourced to people in the Philippines who are just there to fob people off, at least thats what they seem to do with me.

Amazingly I started tweeting to my 1500 followers and all the business networks about how poor Rebtel are and by the looks of it they have some guy who checks once a day and then responds - this again is an example of how seriously they take customer service!

I've changed to localphone to try them out now instead, the cost is the same but at least they are a British company, now I just need to get the con artists at Rebtel to give me my money back from my account so I can transfer it to Localphone.

Given my recent experience I cannot recommend Rebtel at all, the service is unreliable, the customer service is just awful. I also have given the "Value for Money" a terrible after noticing how much they charge for each call that doesn't even connect.
