“BEST LOW COST I HAVE USED IN THAILAND IN THREE YEARS”

My partner and I wanted a quiet break and this is what we had at this great resort, the Palm Galleria, Bangsak Beach, 20 km north of Khoa Lak around one hour drive from Phuket Island. Booked thru Agoda as usual, location description not correct when stating amazing views of the ocean Although we could hear it, could not see. Other comments telling of bad conditions and bad staff are uncalled for. From the time of our arrival until departure 4 days later could not fault the accommodation, staff, food, all great. The weather was mid Monsoon thus swam in the extra large pool & Spas between torrential showers and enjoyed a choice from the extensive, free, DVD library when raining. Greeting from staff was wonderful with a welcome drink, they took our bags to the room and switched on A/C while we checked in.
The location is isolated but only 15 minutes drive from Town Centre, Mini Marts close by, Food in house, both Thai and Western is excellent and not expensive, given 10% discount voucher for first night, breakfast is free and extensive, bottomless coffee.
Only downside was very expensive internet which was probably good as I did not unpack my computer 1st time in months. 200 TBaht / Hour, almost as much as I pay rent on my house in Phuket.
