“Took away our cover while we were driving”

Having had our car written off by another driver, who admitted full liability, our policy was suspend. Having called customer services three times, to confirm that we could use the rest of our policy, we received a call, while driving to get an emergency prescription on Sunday for my nine year old daughters throat infection, saying we could pay a £1000 or our cover would be removed immediately, the cover was then removed.
