“cancellation charge rip off merchants”

Absolutely disgusted with this company and it's customer service ethics. We Ordered a £233 playhouse for our 4yr old which when delivered we realised stupidly that it was just a little too low in height so we decided to arrange for cancellation but to see if we could transfer the monies and order another playhouse which was an extra £140 we wanted to pay. Due to using different suppliers for different playhouses, we were told we couldn't transfer the monies and would have to cancel and reorder BUT shed store advised there would be a cancellation charge which they would check with Shire, the supplier. They came back with the unbelievable response that we would have to pay £144 out of our full refund to return the item (totally untouched, simply in garage where delivered). Their totally unhelpful advisor, made the hysterical comment that the cancellation charge stood as I said it was too small, but if I had phoned and said we found damage from delivery, then there would have been no charge.....if I read this first I could have sabotaged it then made the call!!! After an hour of arguing with both shed store and shire, there was no negotiation whatsoever. TOTALLY MISLEADING ON THE CANCELLATION AND RETURNS POLICY - DON'T EVER BUY ANY PRODUCT FROM THIS COMPANY, SHOP AROUND ELSEWHERE.
