“I bought the new Hayter Harrier 48 model in 2008. ...”

written by irwinroy on 12/05/2009

Good Points
no improvements over the pre 2007 type

Bad Points
Grassbox is difficult to fix. The box cannot be emptied through the handles. It cannot fill the box even with dry grass. Wet grass cutting is very poor. Lawn striping is not as good as before. Its expensive and poor value for money.

General Comments
I bought the new Hayter Harrier 48 model in 2008. This has replaced the old shape of which I have purchased 5 over the last 20 years. These have given me trouble free use and I have recommended the model to many friends. It really was the 'Rolls Royce'.

The new Hayter Harrier 48 model is an engineering design disaster. This machine has been the big disappointment. By the way Hayter will not support the warranty for second- hand machines, unless bought through a dealer - this is an indication of their confidence in their products.
