“What has happened to John Lewis?”

As others, I used to believe that John Lewis provided superior customer service - that no longer appears to be the case. Having ordered a cooker and a fridge (a basic order I thought) they have continually failed to organise delivery, installation etc etc. I have had to manage the entire process, with them repeatedly turning up unannounced and wondering why nobody is in. The couriers are not provided with enough information.

Having evetually had both delivered, the fridge was faulty - Still trying to arrange for that to be sorted 4 weeks later.

I have now started to shop with their competitors, and have found them to be superb - I will never be shopping on line with John Lewis until they sort out the appalling service.
