“WARNING - SMEG DF1255W Dishwasher - potential fire hazard”

This is an interim report. The product has a fault that could prove catastrophic. Quite apart to concurring with the fact that the 7 dwarves must have designed the trays for their dinner services, the serious nature of this review is that the cycles take so long to complete that one feels compelled to leave the machine on overnight. Luckily when the electrical fire started I happened to be in the kitchen before the appliance burst into flames.

I will follow up once the engineers have reported back. SMEG customer relations are a disgrace quite frankly, so the message is - DO NOT LEAVE THIS MACHINE UNATTENDED.

Machine purchased 22 November 2010, and first caused electrical outages around 1 November 2011. This incident took place this week. BUYER BEWARE.
