i stayed in the travelodge at cardiff M4 moto services back in januray, travelodge took 2 payments instead of 1, i did not receive any kind of confirmation or notification for the 2nd payment. as they took the 2nd payment this caused my bank account to go into overdraft by £50, which then gave me a later fee of £50 for going into the overdraft at travelodges fault. given me a total of £100 out of pocket. i have sent numerous emails and made several phone calls, each time they say someone will contact me with in the next few days, no contact from travelodge in regards to the situation has been made. the room itself was very dirty and definately not worth being into the red by £100!
i wish for my money to be refunded, and to be apologised to for such a huge mistake and inconvience which has caused a small debt and bad credit rating in the bank account.
All customers wanting a cheap hotel, find a different one to travelodge! The personal at the end of the phone were extremely rude, shouted and hung up on me whilst i tried to enquire about the ongoing situation! and my case is not the first like this one, it seems they make a habbit of dipping in and out of peoples banks without authorisation! i am extremely angry and certain that travelodge will continue to ignore their mistakes and keep my money which they were not authorised to take, I'm sure taking without permission is theft!
