The cats have expensive tastes and after I refused to mortgage the house to buy Iams or Hills Science Diet we settled on Burns Organic as a happy compromise. So the gutsy Burmese Eb' & Flo' get Ocean Fish and Duck and Brown Rice in 7.5kg sacks as and when required.
We've run out so I do a quick internet search. Zooplus comes out cheapest for 2 x 7.5kg , though you've got be careful of eTailers shipping charges. Even better I note zooplus.co.uk offer new customers a 10% first order discount.
I process my checkout basket but no 10%. I ring up 4 times to obtain a telephone line that I can actually hear the support person distinctly at the other end. Voice over IP is certainly cheap but doesn't work that well. (I think they are on the other side of the globe.). I ask why no 10% discount and am advised that as I didn't register it didn't apply the discount. "JUST WHERE DOES THE WEBSITE advise me of this ?" - I ask ? It doesn't.
After another 5 minutes spent trying to clear my Browser Cache of a very sticky shopping basket I am ready to Register and place my first order !!
BUT NO - THIS IS RIP-OFF BRITAIN. The zooplus.co.uk webserver has detected my return IP address and now decided that the first order discount should ONLY BE 5% not 10% as offered.
More telephone calls get the order placed over the phone ( which I never like doing) to the other side of the globe.
Do I need this NO.
Will I return NO.
